Ayala Bar has worked in many artistic areas, from theater to interior design. In the late 1980's, she surfaced as a prominent Israeli jeweler. Her current designs blend natural elements and glass with assorted metals to create a rich mosaic, resulting in intricate limited-edition pieces. Ayala Bar has consistently produced designs that are innovative yet timeless, bold yet feminine, and international in appeal.

She studied at Rhode Island School of Design and attended Clark University. Her lead and nickel free jewelry features a creative assortment of crystals, rhinestones, glass, enamels and resins. The versatility of the jewelry has enhanced its popularity as these items can be worn with both dressy and casual fashions. Jillbeads creations are known for their whimsical color combinations and unique shapes. | The design concept at the heart of nearly all his designs is a simple shape in a moveable (kinetic) format. Nearly every finding is handmade to enhance this movement; an earwire allows a shape to rotate, a connector will swivel, a loop will act as a hinge. The handmade earwires allow him to develop his signature earring, which is designed to fasten closed.
